GSNENY reserves the right to cancel any program at any time. All programs have a minimum enrollment threshold which must be met in order to operate. Programs run rain or shine unless inclement weather would make conditions unsafe for the activities planned. In some cases, alternate activities will be substituted. No refunds due to weather will be issued for programs that take place as scheduled.
In the event that GSNENY cancels a program, a full refund will be made to the original form of payment. When a program is canceled, all registrants will be contacted through the email used in registration. When a program is canceled less than 48 hours prior to its scheduled start, registrants will also be contacted using the telephone number provided at registration.
When a customer chooses to cancel a registration:
- All refund requests must be made in writing or by emailing customercare@girlscoutsneny.org. Verbal requests will not be considered.
- Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, provided a cancellation request is made a least two weeks before the start date of the program. (except where a specific earlier refund deadline is stated)
- Refunds requested less than two weeks before a program will be considered on a limited case-by-case basis only.
- Refunds for medical reasons will be considered only if notification is made prior to the event and a doctor’s note is subsequently provided.
- Refund requests will not be considered if notification is not made prior to the time the program begins.
Program attendees are expected to follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law, adhere to all safety requirements, and exhibit respectful behavior throughout the program. Any participant who does not uphold this standard will be reminded of this expectation once and asked to leave if they do not comply. No refunds will be issued in instances where a registrant is dismissed due to inappropriate conduct.
