All GSNENY camps are subsidized by our Council, and we make every effort to keep camp affordable while providing quality programming, hiring excellent staff, and serving as good stewards of our properties. We know that paying for camp can be a challenge. Here are some suggestions for financing your summer at camp:
Product Program Earnings: Girl Scouts who participate in Cookie and Sweets & Treats sales earn Cookie Dough or S'mores club vouchers which can be used to pay for camp balances (they may not be used for the initial deposit). Contact Customer Care to check or redeem your balance.
Troop or Service Unit funds: Your Troop of Service unit may conduct money-earning activities to help fund camp for their Girl Scouts. Speak with your Troop leader to plan a money-earning project or to check if funds are available.
Flex Spending: Camp is considered an eligible expense for many Childcare Flexible Spending accounts. Check with your plan administrator to see if you have funds available that can be used for camp.
Department of Social Services: The Childcare Subsidy program helps families to pay for childcare while parents/guardians work or attend school or job training. GSNENY summer camp may qualify for CCS funds. Contact your county Department of Social Services to determine eligibility.
GSNENY offers Financial Aid to registered Girl Scouts in our Council who have a financial need. You may apply for funding to cover the cost of camp fees, busing, overnights, and early/late Care. To learn more email customercare@girlscoutsneny.org or APPLY here!
