Ways to Volunteer

Join the fun and make a difference!

Volunteers have been the backbone of Girl Scouts since its founding – girls need caring adults like you to support them! You can coach a group of girls as they take on challenges designed just for them! If you prefer to work with adults, you can provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that inspires girls to take the lead and share their passions with the community. Either way, there's a perfect volunteer role waiting for you!

This year, be a role model and mentor just by being yourself! Whether you can give a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun! You don’t need to have a child of your own to get involved—you just need to be passionate about helping others.

Fill out the form below and someone will get back to you! (see volunteer role descriptions below the form)

Work Directly with Girls

Caring adult Troop and Service Unit volunteers support ongoing Girl Scout activities in local communities throughout the GSNENY footprint.  For information about volunteering with a local troop or service unit in your community CLICK HERE

Council Committees are a great way to engage in strategic and high-level operations at the Council level.  Committee members include people from all walks of life who are passionate about Girl Scouting and want to be involved in the bigger picture.  Committees focus on a specific strategic or high-level operational part of our Council's work and is a great start for those interested in board service.   Caregivers, Girl Scouts, Volunteers, and Community Members bring their viewpoints and expertise to help make our Council's work of Girl Scouting the best it can be.
