Purpose:
Governance is accomplished through the democratic process as outlined in our Council Bylaws.
Governance Body:
The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, advocacy, decision-making, policy development, and oversight.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides leadership to the staff of the Council and manages all operational work within the framework of the Council’s goals. The CEO is accountable to the Board of Directors.
Adults and girls 14 years old and older may serve as Service Unit Delegates or Alternates and are responsible for being the voice of their Service Unit to and from the Board of Directors primarily at the Annual Meeting of the Members and other delegate meetings.
Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York’s (GSNENY) National Council Delegates or Alternates are members of our council over the age of 14. They represent GSNENY to and from the National Board of Girl Scouts.
