Guidelines for Renting GSNENY Properties

Important Information for ALL Rentals: PLEASE READ

Troop & Service Unit Meetings toggle arrow

Free 3-Hour Troop/Service Unit Meeting Space

Meeting space for Troop or Service Unit use is available at no cost to Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York members. These spaces are available for a maximum of three hours excluding Fridays, 4:00 pm through Sundays, 3:00 pm. Recurring meetings end with the school year and must be rebooked/requested for the subsequent school year.

Please notify GSNENY if the meeting will be cancelled/not held. After two no-show occurrences, the remaining reservations will be released by GSNENY.

Cancellation/ Refund Policy toggle arrow

Refunds will be made IF GSNENY must cancel the reservation for any reason.
Cancelations made less than 90 days prior to rental, deposit is forfeited, and the balance will be refunded.
Cancellation made less than 21 days prior to the rental, forfeit their full payment.

Special Requirements toggle arrow

Swimming
- 1-25: 1 adult Lifeguard + 2 watchers
- 25-35: 1 adult Lifeguard + 1 lifeguard + 3 watchers
- 35-60: 1 Adult Lifeguard + 1 Lifeguard + 4 watchers

Swimming Requirements for Lake Clear:
- All Swimming activities are contingent on council staff being on property.
- The waterfront is considered closed at all times unless a lifeguard is present
- Lifeguard certifications must be sent to council 2 weeks prior to your stay so they can be submitted to the Department of Health for approval. Send certifications to customecare@girlscoutsneny.org
- All Lifeguard Certifications must follow the NYDOH camp recommendations that Lifeguarding and CPR certifications are valid within the last 12 months.

Boating
- 1-12 people can boat at one time with 1 Small Craft Safety Instructor
- Certified Lifeguard must be present following the same guidelines regarding numbers as under swimming.

Archery – Certified instructor required.
Ropes- Certified instructor required.
