Invest in Girls. Change the World.

Over 100 years ago, Juliette Gordon Low had a dream that every girl should have the opportunity to discover her leadership role in her community.  To do this, she sold her family pearls to finance Girl Scouting to continue to offer programs for girls. In 2024, hundreds of people, companies, and foundations donated to support Girl Scouting. Our 2024 Report to the Community recognizes these donors and shares updates on what Girl Scouts accomplished with their support.

Continuing this tradition, Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York is committed to encouraging over 5,000 girls in our 15-county geography to discover, connect, and take action to become our next community leaders.

Whatever your level of giving, you are investing in girls in our council. Your gift is processed through our secure online donation.

Donor Advised Funds toggle arrow

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle like a charitable savings account. It provides an immediate tax benefit to you, the donor, and allows you to easily support Girl Scouts in our community. DAFs can be easily set up through your financial institution or a community foundation to serve as a flexible charitable giving vehicle. For more information on how to establish a DAF, contact your community foundation or financial advisor.

IRA Gifts/Qualified Charitable Contributions toggle arrow

If you’re 70-1/2 or older, and have to take a required minimum distribution but don’t want or need the funds, QCDs are a good way to distribute the amount of the IRA. As an added benefit, when you give by December 31, you'll avoid paying income tax on your gross income up to $108,000.
