Program Description: Young leaders in the CIT 1 program explore what being a counselor at Girl Scout camp is all about! As a CIT 1 you will learn how to engage younger campers. You'll interview, observe and assist camp staff; lead group activities, and learn to make a difference with your fellow CITs. You'll be a role model for younger campers as you develop your leadership skills! Participants will receive the CIT 1 pin at the end of the session. If your camper attends multiple sessions, the CIT 1 pin is only awarded at the end of first completed session. Participation in additional sessions covers many of the same topics, but each session at camp can be unique and gives CIT candidates an additional chance to practice and expand their leadership skills.
