Date: Sun Aug 17, 2:00 PM EST - Tue Aug 19, 3:00 PM EST
Program Description: Gather your troop for a 3-day,
2-night camp adventure like no other! Explore all that camp has to
offer with our camp staff guiding you through a variety of engaging
activities. Troops will be assigned to units together, and communal
meals will be provided in the dining hall. Each unit will have the
chance to cook a meal over a fire and everyone is invited to the
closing night campfire for a sing-along. The camp team will work with
each troop to customize their camp experience to their Girl Scouts'
levels and interests including swimming, boating, arts & crafts,
rope course, archery, nature activities and more. This is a great
opportunity for troops new to camping, or campers not yet confident to
attend camp on their own. Come join us for an exceptional Troop Camp
experience, where adventure and bonding harmonize to create
unforgettable memories!
Troops must register with sufficient number of adults to meet ratio
for the number of campers registered. All adults in attendance must be
registered members with current background checks. Adults do not need
to have completed any camping training to attend, as activities will
be led by camp staff.
Troop leaders and adults are responsible for providing direct
supervision of their participants throughout the camp session, while
camp staff will facilitate activities and help uphold camp rules and expectations.
Troops will receive a planning questionnaire three weeks before
their camp session to help customize their troop's camp experience.
Unit Life:
- Unit assignments are carefully determined based on program
needs, participant numbers, camper ages and available beds, ensuring
a comfortable and well-organized experience for all campers.
- At Lake Clear there are 2 types of units with mattresses on cots
or bunkbeds: lean-tos or small cabins.
-
Lean to Units - Each lean-to unit includes 6-8
sleeping structures, with most structures sleeping 4 people
each. Staff/adults will be housed in one structure within the
unit, while campers will be paired or grouped with fellow
program participants. A communal bathhouse is located nearby
with flush toilets, shower stalls and potable water for washing
and drinking.
-
Cabin units - Each cabin sleeps 10 - 16
campers, with a separate room for staff/adults. Cabins have one
single occupant bathroom (with shower stall, flush toilet and
sink), electricity and bunks beds with mattresses for campers
and staff. A shower house with multiple private stalls and flush
toilets is available nearby.
-
Troop
unit assignments are based on troop size and program
capacity:
-
The maximum unit capacity is 20 people
(this is a lean-to unit). Troops larger than 24 may be split into
two groups. The largest cabin sleeps 19 people.
- Smaller troops may be asked to share a unit with another troop,
depending on program capacity.
-
This structure ensures
a safe, fun, and collaborative camping experience for all
participants!
Payment information:
- A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure camp
registration. The balance may be paid in installments of any amount,
with the balance due in full by June 17th, 2025. All payments are
non-refundable after June 17th. Registrations not paid in full by
June 18th may be canceled. In the case of such cancellation, any
payments, minus the $100 deposit will be refunded to the original
form of payment. Registrations made after June 17th must be paid in
full at the time of registration.
Paperwork Information:
- All campers and participating adults must provide annual
health information, in accordance with Department of Health,
American Camp Association, and GSNENY policies. The camp team needs
detailed health information to ensure they can meet your camper's
health needs. Some forms require a signature by a healthcare
provider. Any medication (including over-the-counter items) that a
camper will receive while at camp must be sent in the original
packaging with signed orders from a doctor. After registering for
camp, you will receive further information regarding the required
forms and how to submit them. All camp paperwork, including health
histories and immunization records, must be submitted no later than
Tuesday, June 17, 2025 to allow time to review. Any registration for
which all completed paperwork has not been received by that date is
subject to cancellation.
Next steps:
- Within 7 days of your registration you will receive a Camper
and Caregiver Handbook which will help you prepare for your summer
at camp. You'll also receive links to the forms you'll need to
complete and information about pre-ordering items from our Trading
Post.
