Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors are invited to take their outdoor skills to the next level with an immersive advanced backpacking trip. This program challenges experienced Girl Scouts to apply leadership, planning, and survival skills in a multi-day, off-trail or backcountry setting. We'll plan and pack for extended trips, including menu planning and gear optimization,navigate trails using maps, compasses, and GPS devices, practice advanced camping skills such as shelter construction, cold-weather camp setup, and outdoor cooking, and practice Leave No Trace principles and environmental stewardship in backcountry settings.
Please wear close-toed shoes (no crocs) and dress for the weather.
