Dreaming about summer and all the favorite foods you cook and eat over the campfire? Use your STEAM, (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) skills to cook up the perfect design for around the campfire. Girls CAN Do combines community service and raising awareness for food insecurity while supporting 75 food pantries across the Capital District Region. Be a part of this unique event by hosting a non-perishable food drive as a troop, Service Unit or individual girl. Then register a team , bring you food items to the Empire State Plaza on Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend and buil you Campfire Cookout themed build. All structures will be judged by CANstruction and community partners and teams will receive Award Certificates based on a wide range of award categories. Let's build a better community - one can at a time!
Only 1 adult or girl from a a troop should register for their team.
This is not a drop-off program. Caregivers should stay with their child.
