Welcome to Camp Is-Sho-Da! Located on 100 acres of fields and woods in East Greenbush, Camp IsSho-Da is a great option to enjoy all the best of camp. With hiking trails, a five-acre pond for water activities, a large playfield, and facilities for nature study and artmaking, there is always something fun to do. Rustic screened enclosed shelters, platform tents, and covered wagons offer a variety of options for camping overnights.
At Camp Is-Sho-Da campers can expect to swim every day in our pond and tie dye every Wednesday. Campers can also try our low ropes course and complete science experiments and arts and crafts.
Play together, cheer together, shine together! Daisies will discover the joy of teamwork through playful games, relay races, and camp spirit challenges. With plenty of laughter and cheering, they’ll learn that being a good teammate means trying your best and helping others succeed — because at camp, everyone’s a winner!
Camp Champs: Ready, Set, Play: Brownie
Spirit, smiles, and silly competition! Brownies will jump into the action with friendly camp competitions, silly sports, and teamwork challenges that build confidence and camaraderie. Whether they’re racing, cheering, or creating team chants, they’ll discover how fun it is to work together and celebrate everyone’s efforts!
Spirit Quest: The Great Camp Games: Junior & Cadette
Compete with heart, lead with spirit. Get ready for a week of spirited competition and teamwork! Campers will take part in exciting field games, water relays, and creative team challenges that test both brains and brawn. With leadership, sportsmanship, and camp pride at the core. This week builds confidence, teamwork, and memories that last longer than the week of camp.
Camp Legends: The Ultimate Challenge: Senior & Ambassador
Lead the fun. Fuel the spirit. Claim the legend. Seniors and Ambassadors will take camp spirit to the next level as they compete, lead, and cheer in the ultimate week of camp games! From organizing team challenges to mentoring younger campers, they’ll combine leadership, athleticism, and creativity to earn their place in camp history. It’s all about teamwork, laughter, and legendary fun!

Get ready to make waves this week at camp! Jump into a week filled with splashy adventures, water challenges, and outdoor fun! Campers will explore the magic and mystery of water through hands-on experiments, creative projects, and plenty of time to swim, play, and cool off under the sun. Whether they’re testing the power of water or just making the biggest splash, it’s all about discovery, friendship, and summertime fun!
Counselor in Training 1: Seniors & Ambassadors
Young leaders in the CIT 1 Program dive into what it means to be a counselor at Girl Scout camp. You’ll learn to engage younger campers while completing the five steps of the CIT 1 experience: live and work in a camp community; interview, observe, and assist staff; practice and lead songs and games; complete a service project with your CIT unit; and reflect on your experience. Throughout the week, you’ll build leadership skills and serve as a positive role model—while still enjoying classic camp fun like campfires, swimming, crafts, games, and those magical camp moments. CIT 1 can be completed at overnight or day camp, and participants receive the CIT 1 pin at the end of the session. Earning the CIT 1 pin also fulfills the leadership award requirement for the Gold Award.
Meet your prickly but lovable camp buddy — your very own Porcupine Plushie Pal! Daisies will explore the clever animals of the forest while discovering friendship, creativity, and outdoor fun. Through games, crafts, and adventures, campers will learn that even the prickliest friends have a soft side. Plushies stay at camp all week and go home with campers on Friday.
Camp Creatures & Critters: Brownie
Brownies will dive into the wild world of camp and learn about the amazing creatures in our forests, fields, and waterways. Through games, hands-on exploration, and trail adventures, campers will uncover fun facts about wildlife while building outdoor confidence. A lively week of discovery, imagination, and friendship!
Wild Camp Quest: Junior & Cadette
Adventure awaits! Juniors and Cadettes will explore camp through creative challenges, nature quests, and hands-on outdoor fun. Campers will strengthen teamwork, uncover forest secrets, and see just how exciting the great outdoors can be.

Older campers will battle it out in friendly, high-energy Color War challenges! From rainbow-themed games and creative competitions, teams will use strategy, creativity, and teamwork to claim their colors as champions of camp. It’s fast-paced, messy, and full of laughs, a true celebration of color and camp spirit!
Spectrum Squad: Shine Your Light!: Senior & Ambassador
Lead the way and let your true colors shine! Seniors and Ambassadors will take Color Wars to the next level with creative leadership, teamwork, and big camp energy. They’ll design colorful challenges, lead younger campers in spirit competitions, and bring their own flair to camp traditions. This week is all about expressing yourself, lifting others up, and leaving camp brighter than you found it!
Safety at camp is a primary concern. Automobile traffic impacts staffing and can disturb the camp environment. To keep everyone safe and to minimize wait times, families are strongly encouraged to utilize buses if they are not using early/late care. If you do choose to drive your child to camp please consider carpooling.

Every Wednesday, campers who are Brownies or older may choose to stay overnight at camp. Campers cook their dinner and breakfast over a fire in their unit and join the whole camp for campfire skits and a sing-a-long.
Please note: Day Camp overnights are listed as separate events in the system. You must register individually for these options.

Drop off your camper in the main parking lot before normal drop-off starts and pick up after normal pick-up ends. Campers in Early/Late Care will sit with camp staff and have activities to do.
