Summer Camp at Camp Is-Sho-Da
Welcome to Camp Is-Sho-Da! Located on 100 acres of fields and woods in East Greenbush, Camp IsSho-Da is a great option to enjoy all the best of camp. With hiking trails, a five-acre pond for water activities, a large playfield, and facilities for nature study and artmaking, there is always something fun to do. Rustic screened enclosed shelters, platform tents, and covered wagons offer a variety of options for camping overnights.
At Camp Is-Sho-Da campers can expect to swim every day in our pond and tie dye every Wednesday. Campers can also try our low ropes course and complete science experiments and arts and crafts.
Week 1: July 8th – 12th 
Plushie Pals - Meet your new plushie bestie! Spend the week together at camp doing projects and exploring. Give them a camp name, make them a sleeping bag, or take them on a hike! Plushies can go almost anywhere at camp that you do (except the pond!). Plushies are provided and will live at camp and go home with campers on Friday. (Daisies) $375 members/$475 non-members

C.A.M.P. Creative Adventures and Magical Possibilities- Get ready for a summer to remember with our signature camp experience! Campers will have regular swim time and will work with their patrols to create a schedule that includes their camp favorites. Activities include boating, hiking, arts & crafts, science experiments, nature study, games, tie-dye and more! Brownies and older can try the low ropes challenge course and those who are Juniors and older can participate in archery. It’s a summer packed with adventure and creativity! Camp Chefs - Do you like cooking and trying new snacks? In this program, campers will explore a range of camp cooking techniques using pie irons, Dutch ovens, box ovens, and more. Campers will learn fire-building and safety skills. They will prepare camp snacks to make their tastebuds sing - and take part in a “Chopped” style cooking challenge! Leadership - The world needs more leaders of Courage, Confidence and Character...just like YOU! Come build your leadership skills so you can keep making the world a better place! In this program you will complete the GSNENY Teen Leader course. You will shadow counselors and program staff and develop an activity for younger campers you can run yourself. Campers in this session will meet with GSNENY’s CEO and will also complete the Highest Awards workshop to get a head start on their Silver or Gold Award projects! Camp Gone Fairytale - Welcome to the world of Once Upon a Time! This week is all about fairytales and the characters that you know and love! Swim like a mermaid! Make friends with woodland creatures! Pretend you can fly! Enjoy a movie sing-along, a fairytale hike in the enchanted forest, games, crafts, and more focused on your favorite characters from the world of make-believe. Camp Mess - Get ready for games, crafts, and science projects that go sploosh, splat, and plop! If you believe “the messier the better”, then this camp week is for you! Spend the week experimenting with slime, creating with paint, and playing in the mud - anything that can make a mess! Wash off with a dip in the pond and then get ready for more. Holidays Around the World - Spend the week traveling around the world learning about and experiencing holidays from other cultures. We’ll share traditions and build understanding about all the ways that people around the world celebrate! Each camper will receive a passport to help you keep track of their travels throughout the week as they try games and crafts from every corner of the globe! (Brownies) $350 members/$450 non-members

Under The Pond - Fish, turtles and maybe a mermaid too! Join us this week at camp to explore all things under the surface of pond at Camp Is-Sho-Da! Learn all about our aquatic friends and how they live. You will swim each day and get to try pond floating or boating too. Playfield Adventures - Get ready for a week of active fun! In this program, campers will explore all parts of the playfield! You will learn new games and play some old favorites. Improve your archery skills and compete in a target shooting competition. Campers will strengthen their team-building skills as they try the low-ropes challenge course together. Cool off with a quick swim and then get ready for more! (Juniors/Cadettes) $350 members/$450 non-members
Week 6: August 12th – 16th
Color Wars - Celebrate the end of summer in the most colorful way possible! This weeklong friendly competition features fun games, challenges, and activities that allow unit teams to compete for points as they explore all the activities of camp. Campers will use their brains and their bodies as they work together to gain (or lose) points, in the hopes of capturing the Color Crown. When FUN is the object – everyone wins! Camp Is-Sho-Da Bus Schedule
Safety at camp is a primary concern. Automobile traffic impacts staffing and can disturb the camp environment. To keep everyone safe and to minimize wait times, families are strongly encouraged to utilize buses if they are not using early/late care. If you do choose to drive your child to camp please consider carpooling.

Wednesday Day Camp Overnight
Every Wednesday, campers who are Brownies or older may choose to stay overnight at camp. Campers cook their dinner and breakfast over a fire in their unit and join the whole camp for campfire skits and a sing-a-long.

Camp Is-Sho-Da Early/Late Care
Drop off your camper in the main parking lot before normal drop-off starts and pick up after normal pick-up ends. Campers in Early/Late Care will sit with camp staff and have activities to do.
