Summer Camp at Lake Clear Camp
Welcome to Summer Camp at Lake Clear! Situated on 91 scenic acres of land on a peninsula on Lake Clear, just 20 miles from Lake Placid, Lake Clear Camp is an Adirondack gem. The camp is surrounded by breathtaking state land in the Adirondack Park, adjacent to the St. Regis Canoe area. Facilities at Lake Clear Camp include renovated cabins with full bathrooms, a dining hall, a health center, and buildings for programs and activities. The property features an area for swimming and boating, hiking, and primitive camping.
At this camp, campers will do crafts, experiments, and swim in our lake every day! Unique to Lake Clear Camp is our Mariners: A sailing program where campers learn how to sail a boat!
Week 1: August 4th – 9th 
August 4th – 6th Water Bugs Mini-Camp – This splash-tastic 3-day, 2-night camp adventure is the perfect introduction to the world of camp. In our picturesque lake, campers will enjoy refreshing swim lessons, glide over the water’s surface in canoes or kayaks, and embrace the enchantment of lakeside living - but that's just the tip of the iceberg! Campers will embark on a deep-sea expedition, exploring underwater ecosystems and competing in lively water games that'll put their agility and teamwork to the test. With postcard-worthy views and a treasure chest of waterfront activities, 'Water Bugs' guarantees an unforgettable aquatic escape. Whether you're a water warrior or just looking to make a splash and cool off in the summer heat, this camp offers the perfect blend of adventure, laughter, and good old-fashioned lakeside fun! August 7th – 9th Science Explorers Mini-Camp - Pack your curiosity and join us for a 3-day, 2-night whirlwind of scientific adventures! Campers will dive into a variety of scientific fields, rolling up their sleeves for hands-on experiments and investigations that reveal the wonders of our world. On nature walks, they'll explore the great outdoors, observing wildlife and diving into environmental studies, all while gaining a deeper connection to our environment. They'll put their problem-solving skills to the test with brain-teasing activities, and develop a love for learning, critical thinking, and an unbreakable bond with their fellow campers. August 4th – 9th C.A.M.P. Creative Adventures and Magical Possibilities - Get ready for an unforgettable week with our signature camp experience! Campers will work with their patrols to create a schedule that includes their camp favorites. Activities include boating, swimming, hiking, arts & crafts, science experiments, nature study, games, tie-dye and more! It’s a week packed with adventure and creativity! August 4th – 9th Camp Chefs - Get ready for a week of culinary adventures that blend both indoor and outdoor cooking styles. Campers will learn new recipes and cooking techniques for a variety of meals and snacks, from crafting delectable dishes in a fully equipped kitchen to the rustic charm of open-fire cooking. As icing on the cake, campers will also master the art of cake decorating, turning sweets into edible works of art. You’ll even add a cool twist to your culinary journey by making ice cream. August 4th – 9th Counselor-In-Training The Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York CIT program is a power-packed journey, tailor-made for Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts who are ready to embrace leadership while enjoying unforgettable camp experiences. Emerging leaders will participate in workshops, honing skills in communication, teamwork, and decision-making, guided by our experienced camp staff. But it’s not all about training: you’ll also engage in a whirlwind of camper activities, from creative arts & crafts to thrilling outdoor adventures, where you’ll discover the art of creating a positive camp environment.
The CIT I program offers Seniors the perfect blend of growth and fun, empowering them to become confident and capable leaders while making cherished memories with their fellow Girl Scouts.

All candidates for CIT II will be interviewed by the Camp Director prior to being accepted into this program. $575 members/$675 non-members

August 4th – 9th Waterfront-In-Training - Dive into this specialized leadership program created for those with aspirations of becoming skilled lifeguards or camp waterfront staff. This camp week covers essential water rescue skills, First Aid and CPR certification, water safety, and lifeguard ethics in accordance with the American Red Cross standards. Build your leadership skills, teamwork, communication, and professionalism at the waterfront. At the conclusion of this program, campers will be equipped with the knowledge and skills that are required to become a confident and capable lifeguard and will have the opportunity to take the lifeguard certification test. All participants must be at least 15 years old by the end of the camp week. (15+) $675 members/$800 non-members

August 11th – 16th Mariners - Campers are in for a week of high-adventure water fun as they immerse themselves in thrilling water-based activities. From honing their swimming and water safety skills to learning rescue techniques, sailing, and navigation, this program offers a dynamic blend of water adventures. We will set our course sailing and focus on learning the basics as outlined in the GSUSA Mariners guidebook. Girls who complete the basic criteria will earn their prestigious Mariner’s pin, a symbol of their newfound expertise and love for the open water. Join us for a week of maritime exploration and sailing excitement! Pre-requisites: knowledge/experience with basic swim strokes (front crawl and breaststroke), the ability to swim 50 yards unaided, and ability to tread water for 3 minutes. August 18th – 20th Family Camping - Escape to the great outdoors with your loved ones at our new Family Camp Program! Join us for an unforgettable 3-day, 2-night adventure filled with all the wonders of camp life. Our camp staff will lead you through a fantastic array of guided activities, ensuring that your camp experience is both fun and educational. Enjoy delicious meals together in our cozy dining hall and gather 'round the campfire for sing-alongs that will create cherished memories. If you're seeking a bit of quiet and solitude amidst nature, that's perfectly fine, too. There's ample time for self-planned activities, allowing you to tailor your family's camp experience to your preferences. Come make lasting memories and connect with nature and each other at our Family Camp - where adventure and relaxation come together! One member of each party must be a registered Girl Scout member. $195 per person

Thursday Day Camp Overnight
On Thursday campers who are Brownies or older may choose to stay overnight at camp. Campers cook their dinner over a fire in their unit and join the whole camp for campfire skits and a sing-a-long.
