Summer Camp at Lake Clear Camp
Welcome to Summer Camp at Lake Clear! Situated on 91 scenic acres of land on a peninsula on Lake Clear, just 20 miles from Lake Placid, Lake Clear Camp is an Adirondack gem. The camp is surrounded by breathtaking state land in the Adirondack Park, adjacent to the St. Regis Canoe area. Facilities at Lake Clear Camp include renovated cabins with full bathrooms, a dining hall, a health center, and buildings for programs and activities. The property features an area for swimming and boating, hiking, and primitive camping.
At this camp, campers will do crafts, experiments, and swim in our lake every day! Unique to Lake Clear Camp is our Mariners: A sailing program where campers learn how to sail a boat!
Week 1: August 2nd – 7th, 2026 
Mini Session - Together at Camp: Daisy, Brownie, Junior & Adult
Two is better than one and what better way to experience camp than with your favorite grown-up? Come to camp with your adult buddy and make sure you both bring your sense of adventure! You'll get the chance to bond with your fellow campers and make memories that will last a lifetime while you enjoy fun activities at camp together. This three-day, two-night experience provides the perfect opportunity to meet new people and form lasting friendships and is a great way to get to know camp for the first time.
Mini Session - Camp Magic: Brownie
Step into a world of enchantment where friendship, nature, and imagination come alive! Campers will explore the wonders of the outdoors while making new friends and creating magical memories. Activities include crafting fairy wands, designing friendship bracelets, singing around the campfire, and embarking on an exciting nature scavenger hunt. Every moment is filled with creativity, fun, and a touch of magic!
Put on your detective hat and get ready for a thrilling multi-day adventure! Campers will work together in teams to uncover hidden clues, solve riddles, and crack the case, all while exploring the beauty of Lake Clear. Along the way, they’ll develop teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a sense of adventure, making every day at camp a new piece of the mystery.
Ignite your imagination and bring your ideas to life through hands-on arts and crafts! Campers will explore a variety of creative activities including wood burning, nature weaving, and personal journaling. Along the way, they’ll experiment with textures, colors, and natural materials, express themselves, and create keepsakes to treasure long after camp ends.
Mariners: Cadette, Senior, & Ambassador
Join the Girl Scout Mariners Sailing Program for an exhilarating nautical adventure where girls of all experience levels can develop essential sailing skills, teamwork, and basic water rescue techniques. Participants will learn knot tying, sail handling, navigation, and how to respond to emergencies while enjoying the great outdoors in a supportive environment led by knowledgeable instructors. By working together in crews, girls will build friendships and confidence, culminating in earning a Mariners pin to celebrate their achievements. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sailor, this program is the perfect way to set sail for adventure!
Counselor in Training 1: Seniors & Ambassadors
Young leaders in the CIT 1 Program dive into what it means to be a counselor at Girl Scout camp. You’ll learn to engage younger campers while completing the five steps of the CIT 1 experience: live and work in a camp community; interview, observe, and assist staff; practice and lead songs and games; complete a service project with your CIT unit; and reflect on your experience. Throughout the week, you’ll build leadership skills and serve as a positive role model—while still enjoying classic camp fun like campfires, swimming, crafts, games, and those magical camp moments. CIT 1 can be completed at overnight or day camp, and participants receive the CIT 1 pin at the end of the session. Earning the CIT 1 pin also fulfills the leadership award requirement for the Gold Award.
Counselor in Training 2: Ambassador
Continue your leadership journey in CIT 2, where you’ll deepen your counselor skills and take on more responsibility. CIT 2's complete five advanced steps: caring for younger campers; assisting camp staff; planning and leading activities; guiding younger campers in a service project; and, reflecting on your experience. During the two-week session, you’ll build confidence in group management, scheduling, and camper support while continuing to grow as a role model. CIT 2 spans two consecutive weeks of overnight camp (with a weekend break), and participants receive the CIT 2 pin upon completion. Earning the CIT 2 pin also fulfills the leadership award requirement for the Gold Award.Week 3: July 19-24, 2026
Week 2: August 9th – 14th, 2026
Dive into a week full of splashy adventures! Campers will explore lake ecology, paddle across the water in canoes, play exciting splash games, and search for hidden treasures during aquatic scavenger hunts. It’s the perfect mix of learning, laughter, and summertime water fun!
C.A.M.P. (Creative Adventures and Magical Possibilities): Cadette
Get ready for an unforgettable summer with our signature camp experience! Campers will have regular swim time and will work with their patrols to create a schedule that includes all their camp favorites. Activities include boating, hiking, arts & crafts, science experiments, nature study, games, tie-dye, archery, and more! It's a week packed with adventure and creativity!
Wild at Heart: Cadette, Senior & Ambassador
Spend the week diving deep into outdoor adventure! Campers will hit the trails for hiking, cook meals over the fire, and build advanced outdoor skills like flint & steel fire starting, Dutch oven cooking, and camp navigation. The week wraps up with a mini-expedition or backcountry cook-off challenge that puts their new skills to the test.
Day Camp: Camp Curious: Brownie & Junior
Spark your sense of wonder in a week full of discovery and adventure! Campers will try something new every day, from hands-on crafts and nature hikes to silly games and creative challenges that encourage curiosity and teamwork. Alongside these exciting, themed activities, campers will also enjoy classic camp favorites like swimming, arts & crafts, songs, and group games, creating a week packed with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.
Day Camp Overnight Experience: Brownie & Junior
Spend the night at camp with your new camp friends! Enjoy a campfire and overnight on Thursday. Campers will enjoy Thursday Dinner, and Friday breakfast and lunch in the Chuckwagon after their overnight adventure.

Week 3: August 16th – 18th, 2026
Gather your troop for a 3-day, 2-night Troop Camp adventure! This flexible, troop-led experience includes support from dedicated camp staff. Each troop is assigned camp staff who will work with troop leaders to help plan activities, schedule free time, and customize the camp experience based on Girl Scout levels and interests. Troop leaders remain responsible for camper supervision throughout their stay.
Troops will stay together in assigned units, enjoy communal meals in the dining hall, cook one meal over a campfire, and join everyone for a closing-night campfire filled with songs and camp traditions. Activity options may include swimming, boating, arts & crafts, ropes course, archery, nature exploration, and more.
Troop Camp is ideal for troops new to camping or campers not yet ready to attend independently.

Important: All participants must be able to navigate camp terrain independently and move about camp to supervise and participate in activities.
Troops must register with sufficient number of adults to meet ratio for the number of campers registered. All adults in attendance must be registered members with current background checks. Adults do not need to have completed any camping training to attend, as activities will be led by camp staff.
